Between December 2008 and March 2009, the Illinois Department of Human Services’ Head Start Collaboration Office (HSSCO) and the Illinois Head Start Association (IHSA) conducted a web-based collaboration needs assessment survey of all Head Start grantee agencies in Illinois.
The purpose of the survey was to gather information from local agencies on their perceptions of their relationships with other organizations and service systems that may be serving or affecting Head Start children and their families.
This report focuses on how Illinois Head Start agencies are working with other organizations and services to bring about an integrated system of care and education. It can be useful in state and community level planning.
